Ask a Doctor: Reproductive Health and Justice

BLKHLTH Presents: Ask a Doctor - Black Reproductive Health and Justice.

We will discuss the disparity in health outcomes for Black mothers and their babies; methods for protecting health; the current landscape for reproductive justice in Georgia; and how we can work together to help improve health outcomes.

About Ask a Doctor

Black people are disproportionately affected by numerous diseases and tend to have poorer health outcomes compared to other racial groups. There are many factors that cause these disparities, one being a lack of accessible and accurate information in our communities. As a way to bring resources and tools into the community, BLKHLTH developed the Ask a Doctor event series.

Event Purpose

To provide a space for community members to share their experiences in an informal setting and engage with subject matter experts, physicians, advocates, and each other.

Goal of Event

For all participants to walk away with a deeper understanding of the issue, be empowered to use available tools and resources, and know how to have informed and meaningful conversations with their health care providers.
